Tonia R. Esparza,



Tonia Esparza was born in Rhode Island. In 2007, she found her way to the Rio Grande Valley after completing an Occupational Therapy Assistant Certificate program at Houston, Texas. Tonia has been practicing the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach since 2012. She received her massage therapy license in 2013 to further her practice in Myofascial Release. She has taken multiple John F. Barnes courses and trained in his treatment facilities to increase her understanding, awareness, and techniques.

As a licensed massage therapist, Tonia has been able to impact the lives of many individuals in the Rio Grande Valley. Reconnection Myofascial Release & Wellness was formed with the GOAL of using the Myofascial Release Approach to help individuals recuperate their active and healthy lifestyle by relieving pain, tension, and stress.

            In 2016 Tonia had her first experience with Salt Therapy. The benefits of Salt Therapy have made her excited to bring Salt Therapy to the Rio Grande Valley. Helping clients with upper respiratory system issues and skin conditions.

            In 2019 Tonia studied The Arvigo® Techniques that have been use in traditional healing, modern medicine, and wisdom to provide holistic path to increase health and well-being for women, men, children, and adolescents.

            I her path to help people with alternative medicine in 2019 Tonia decided to open her doors to the veterans of our nation.  Tonia partnered with the VA and has been able provide alternative pain management with the Myofascial Release Approach.

Rebeca Moreno


Rebeca is a local home-grown Valley professional from Port Isable. Living all her life in Port Isable she enjoys the calming beach lifestyle. In continuance to living a tranquil life she found her passion in massage therapy.  Finishing her schooling in 2011 and started to work right after.  Rebeca has expanded her knowledge by studying shiatsu back walking technique.

Now with over 10 years of experience Rebeca offers a therapeutic massage. Rebeca uses a combination of deep tissue, sports massage and stretching to help anyone who is in pain be pain free. Rebeca joined Reconnection Myofascial Release & Wellness as of November of 2023.   

Rebeca feels that self-care and proper eating is very important in keeping a pain-free lifestyle.

Ann Suknonghe


Ann started her career in 2012 in her home country of Thailand.  In 2014 after her schooling, she migrated to the United States and started her school in Massage Therapy in Dallas, Texas.  After graduating in Massage Therapy Ann decided to continue her education by learning back walking technique in 2016.  After working for some years and gaining the experience needed Ann opened her first Thai Massage office in Dallas in 2017.

            After being in business for some years Ann decided to sell and leave the big city life after visiting the Rio Grande Valley.  In 2021 she moved to South Texas where the area reminds her of her home country of Thailand.  In October of 2023 Ann joined Reconnection Myofascial Release & Wellness where she currently offers Thai Massage Services to all.

            Ann takes pride in her work and really enjoys working with people to help them get out of discomfort. She also believes in self-care and encourages clients to be more active

Claudia Simmons


Claudia was born and raised in a military family. Her family is originally from Texas, but she has lived in places like Hawaii, Alaska, and Kansas. After finishing high school, she joined the Army. Claudia proudly served 8 years in the Medical Corps. She was able to travel Europe and meet amazing people.

In 2008 she began a career in Ophthalmology, assisting in caring for patient’s eyes and vision.Claudia spent most of her adult life in    Kansas City, MO.  In 2021, Claudia moved to be closer to her family in San Antonio. Shortly after making the move to Texas, she discovered her true calling, and enrolled in  the Academy for Massage Therapy Training. Claudia graduated in September of 2022, and now specializes in Deep Tissue/Trigger Point and Swedish massage.

Claudia aspires to help people live better lives  with less pain. As a Veteran herself, she is proud to continue serving Veteran’s and their families , enabling  them to enjoy a more comfortable and functional life..
